Trekking & Cycling
Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.
(Albert Einstein)
There are many reasons to visit Argentario, but one of them is the vast network of trails and paths for fans of trekking or cycling (both road and off-road). Ranging from simple to more challenging routes, including technical routes for enduro lovers, these trails are a great way to reach every point on the peninsula and organise some great days out either on foot or by mountain bike.
Road cycling enthusiasts will particularly enjoy the route known as the “Panoramica”, the climbs to reach the Passionist monastery and the stretch of road that connects Porto S. Stefano and Porto Ercole and finishes at Punta Telegrafo. It’s easy to enjoy some physical activity in the fresh air and there also some inspiring views because of the peak altitude of 600 m above sea level. Whether on foot or by bike, you’ll be able to immerse yourself in the Mediterranean vegetation and, depending on the season, finish your journey with a dip in the beautiful sea, perhaps in a quiet, intimate bay.
