Italy is the home of good food and good wine, and Tuscany is an excellent representative of good food. In Argentario, you’ll be able to choose from a wide range of choices: taste traditional Tuscan and Argentinian dishes, home cooking or refined, sophisticated dishes. Savour the fresh fish from our sea, which arrives daily in our ports, or get your fill of renowned Tuscan meat.
Many bars also organise “quick” lunches/dinners, brunches and takeaway dishes for a day at the beach or at sea.
Before we leave you to decide on the perfect choice for you, allow us to tempt you with some typical Argentario delicacies: scaveccio, caldaro, tonnina, ficamaschia, onion and anchovy pizza, coroglio ignorante, corolletti and stinchi di morto (which you’ll also find in many bakeries). Anytime you enter a bar or sit down in one of our restaurants, don’t be afraid to talk to us and ask about the food. We’ll be delighted to tell you all about it! And, please, don’t forget to try the Ansonica Costa D’Argentario!
If you decide to “do it yourself”, there are plenty of local fishmongers and grocery shops selling typical local produce.
